Whose Stalking

I'm going to admit to being a blog stalker. There are quite a few blogs that I read that I don't think that I have ever commented on. Bad blogger, bad. And by looking a my site meter I can see that there are quite a few people that do the same here!

So today I challenge you to come out of the shadows! Leave a comment and your blog if you have one so that I can come visit you! And for the next week I am going to comment at least once on every blog that I read also.

Happy Birthday

Tomorrow is Brian's birthday, I won't share how old he is going to be but it rhymes with Purty-Pix. Tonight we had lasagna and Ceasar salad followed up with some yummy Better than Sex Cake w/ the kids and family. Tomorrow we are going on a date day together!

And because I know you are all like better than sex wha?

Better than Sex cake.......make it soon!

1 German chocolate cake (made according to directions) completely cooled

take the end of a spoon the kind with a small circular handle and poke tons of holes into the cake

open a can of sweetened condensed milk and poor over the cake using a spatula to help guide it into the holes

next take hot fudge or caramel dessert topping heat for a moment in the microwave until pourable and pour that on tip of your cake. Again using the spatula to guide it into the holes.

Last but not least take some Cool-whip and frost your cake with it!

Stick it in the fridge for a couple of hours before you serve it and then YUM!!

You need:

german chocolate cake mix

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 small jar hot fudge or caramel ice cream topping

1 regular size tub of Cool-whip

and at least 1 fork

Flour in the dog food... Apparently we need to work on proper placement in our household. First dog food in the deep fryer and now this.

Random Push...

Hellooooo.....!

Today is Wednesday and because it's Wednesday I am going to remind you that it's time to start thinking about or doing your Holiday shopping! And what better way to do so then to head on over to our Etsy shop and kill 2 birds with one stone! You can help us to raise our funds for our #7 and shop for your loved ones. We are starting to add in some Winter/Holiday goodies and we would like nothing better than to ship some to you!

Brian has been getting pretty creative and I am amazed just watching the things that he creates. If I got my hands on it I would probably find a way to turn everything into MUD!

He is working pretty hard on things right now because his mom and aunt are taking some of his creations to a craft show. I am hoping good things happen there! Or I might have to buy everthing myself and that sort of defeats the purpose.

A Little Bit Bummed...

As I am sure that many of you know the people over My Crazy Adoption was doing an AWESOME give away. Simply put for every shirt you bought your name was put in a drawing for a mission trip to Ethiopia in February. Well I bought 2 shirts and I was just so SURE that I was going to win a trip. In the end they gave away 3 TRIPS! I watched the drawing so excited, I just knew I was going to hear my name. But 1st name, not mine. 2nd name, still. not. mine. 3rd name, yup you guessed it, not me.

I don't really consider myself a very lucky person but, man, I really I thought I had this one! Ah well, I guess it wasn't in the cards.

Brian and I have talked a lot about going on a volunteer trip. It is definitely on our to do list. Damn I would like to just pick up and move us out there sometimes. I want to see the country where our kids came from. I want to get out there and do SOMETHING! Simply put Ethiopia is never far from our thoughts and I am sure that is the way it will always be. Odd how sometimes you simply take the road less traveled and end up on the journey of your life.

NaBloPoMo

Here we go again, NaBloPoMo! For those of you that don't know basically you commit to at least one blog post a day through the month of November. I almost made it through last year. Let's see if I can knock it out this year.

Right now we are starting to get geared up for the holiday's. We are going into my favorite time of year, except for the snow. I love me some Thanksgiving and especially Christmas. This year we are foregoing the "traditional" Christmas and we are going to DISNEY WORLD!! It should be interesting because this is the first trip we are taking with Maximus and Emersyn. It's hard to believe that we haven't taken them anywhere!! We have done so much divide and conquer that it has become second nature to us. Nothing like making a 20+ hour drive and going to the most magical place on earth to break us in!

I am going to take a lot of time prepping for this trip. Using any and all ideas to make it the best it can be, which can and will include Maximus and a leash. I'm just sayin'.

We leave in 45 days!
