Disney 2010

Disney World was great! We had a lot of fun and some good family time. There were a few moments when I had to remind myself that it wasn't about the vacation itself, but the memories that we were making for years to come. But all in all I would say it was a success.

We left Thursday right after the kids got out of school and started our travel to Kentucky, to spend the night. Amid all the jokes of, can we get KFC when we get there. Maximus was not to keen on the drive after about an hour but not so awful either. Luckily he seemed to figure out that we were going to be spending A LOT of time in the car and this day was his only cranky driving day of the whole trip.

We were 9 miles from our hotel in Kentucky when we just STOPPED on the highway. No cars were moving at all, people where literally getting out of their cars right on the interstate. 9 MILES PEOPLE!!!! AFTER 6 HOURS OF DRIVING!! We sat there for and hour and fifteen minutes when all of a sudden cars just started going. There was none of that stop start stuff, we went from 0-70 and never did see any sign of what the problem was.


That night we all piled into one hotel room (all 8 of us) and pretty much just passed out where ever, I had either Maximus's feet or butt in my face all night, that is if he was sprawled out across my chest. He's a pretty good little cuddler that one!

We woke up around 8 the next morning and went down to breakfast, made some friends (Maximus is a great ice breaker, he will talk/flirt with anyone), and then we on our way to Georgia!

The Drive to Georgia was uneventful, thankfully and we pulled into our hotel around 8 that night. Yuck, is an understatement. The room was mostly clean I guess. But the area left MUCH to be desired and our cable didn't work or the internet and the rest of the clientele was, ummmmm......interesting? But they had a free hot breakfast buffet so we figured that at least we would be fed in the morning!

EWWW.....gross, what is that? Let's go! Let's go! McDonald's anyone?

Disney 2010 and Fundraising

Wow, I can't believe that we are leaving in only 18 days!!! Crazy! The kids are getting super excited and so I am! But oh, the packing!

We are taking a couple of days to get down there. With one night in Kentucky and one in Georgia before we roll into DISNEY WORLD!!! We are usually a drive straight through kind of family but with this being the babies first major trip we have decided to ease into it, to try and avoid some major meltdowns!

We have Mickey and Minnie backpack/harnesses for Maximus and Emersyn, we are going to attempt to pack using storage totes this time and see if we can get a better use of our space. (Thanks Duggars for that idea).

Any other suggestions for traveling with two 2 year olds and a bunch of other kids?

We have been unbelievably blessed by all the orders we have received so far, I am actually sort of amazed! I just want to say thank you, I know it's hard to support everyone and especially at this time of year it can be overwhelming. You all are amazing and getting us closed every day to our #7!

NaBloPoMo

Here we go again, NaBloPoMo! For those of you that don't know basically you commit to at least one blog post a day through the month of November. I almost made it through last year. Let's see if I can knock it out this year.

Right now we are starting to get geared up for the holiday's. We are going into my favorite time of year, except for the snow. I love me some Thanksgiving and especially Christmas. This year we are foregoing the "traditional" Christmas and we are going to DISNEY WORLD!! It should be interesting because this is the first trip we are taking with Maximus and Emersyn. It's hard to believe that we haven't taken them anywhere!! We have done so much divide and conquer that it has become second nature to us. Nothing like making a 20+ hour drive and going to the most magical place on earth to break us in!

I am going to take a lot of time prepping for this trip. Using any and all ideas to make it the best it can be, which can and will include Maximus and a leash. I'm just sayin'.

We leave in 45 days!
